It is almost inevitable that Sassuolo will make Vasilije Adzic’s loan move to the club permanent by the end of this season because the youngster has been brilliant.
What Adzic needs to do now is maintain the consistency he has shown so far. He has been one of Sassuolo’s best players, and his performances could eventually leave Juventus wondering whether they should have kept him in their squad.
Luciano Spalletti did not believe the youngster was good enough for his team when he allowed him to leave, while Sassuolo subsequently secured a €12 million agreement to make the move permanent.
Adzic is a top talent, and Juventus knew that when they allowed him to depart. However, they had doubts over whether he could succeed at a top club like theirs, and the Bianconeri may still decide against bringing him back at the end of the season.
Sassuolo could develop Adzic further and eventually sell him for a higher fee, meaning the youngster has the potential to become a genuine superstar in the making.
His performances so far suggest that Sassuolo could have secured an excellent long term investment. However, Juventus still retain some control over his future, meaning the situation is not entirely straightforward.
Adzic’s development will therefore be worth monitoring as the season progresses. If he continues performing at his current level, Sassuolo will have every reason to want to complete the permanent transfer.

According to Football Italia, Juventus can bring Adzic back in the summer for €1.7 million if Sassuolo signals an interest in keeping him and the Bianconeri change their minds about selling the talented youngster.
That clause gives Juventus an important option should they decide that Adzic has developed enough to earn another opportunity with the club. For now, however, Sassuolo appear to be benefiting from his performances and will hope to keep him beyond the current campaign.
Adzic’s immediate priority is to remain consistent and continue developing. If he does so, Sassuolo could complete the permanent move, while Juventus may eventually have to consider whether letting such a promising player leave was the right decision.
