With Bosnia having been eliminated from the World Cup, Juventus can accelerate for Tarik Muharemovic. The deal is quickly approaching its conclusion. Only a Premier League side coming in over the top with a huge offer could change the outcome at the 11th hour.
According to TuttoSport, the Bianconeri and Sassuolo, the former team of new CEO Giovanni Carnevali, are in advanced talks for a €18M deal, likely a €16M fee plus €2M add-ons. Therefore, the center-back would have a €35M valuation, as the Old Lady has a 50 percent resale clause.
The Muharemovic camp is on the verge of agreeing to a five-year contract starting from €2M wages with the Juventus brass. He’d be the first Next Gen product to return to Turin after leaving with a permanent formula. After 2 campaigns in Serie C, during which he amassed 57 appearances, he was sold to Sassuolo for €2M.
Per Alfredo Pedullà, the Bianconeri are ready to close the deal at those numbers. Instead, if a foreign team tabled a €40M bid, they’d consider pocketing €20M instead. They have paused their pursuit of Jhon Lucumi. They are unwilling to activate his €28M release clause. It’ll be valid only for a couple more weeks, though. In the meantime, Bayern Munich continue to monitor Gleison Bremer, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
He and the Bologna man figure to be mutually exclusive, as they are both left-footed, unless they’ll sell Lloyd Kelly, but it’s been quiet there. They are already close quality-wise, but the Bosnian is five years younger and less blunder-prone, so there’s no doubt about the choice between the two. They shouldn’t beat around the bush for a couple of million.
