Juventus confirm Locatelli surgery and new Boga injury diagnosis | OneFootball

Juventus have confirmed that Manuel Locatelli went under the knife for knee surgery today, while Jeremie Boga will be out for several weeks with a thigh strain.

The injury crisis is getting worse in Turin, as they had already lost Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram, Weston McKennie, Jeff Ekhator, Juan Cabal, Andrea Cambiaso and Pape Matar Sarr for the most recent match with Milan.

Now they will be without Locatelli probably until 2027, as he sustained a meniscus tear during that 1-1 draw on Sunday.

A formal statement from Juventus this evening confirms that Locatelli had surgery in Lyon to suture the external meniscus in his right knee.

Sky Sport Italia warn the absence could even be as much as five or six months.

Meanwhile, Boga has been diagnosed with a medium grade lesion to the femoral bicep in the left thigh.

The medical staff warn that his condition will be re-evaluated following new tests in two weeks’ time, which means Boga is expected to be out of action for at the very least a month, probably around five weeks.
