Serie A side Juventus did improve in the Serie A after an initial roadblock in the campaign but they’re now looking to initiate an Italian revolution in the squad.
Today, La Gazzetta dello Sport delve deeper into the topic, revealing that the Bianconeri believe that going back to Italian roots will go a long way in shaping their future. They believe it will help them challenge for silverware, especially as Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario has been a success so far.
Frosinone’s Lorenzo Palmisani is one of the players being considered, as the keeper has impressed so far in the campaign.
But the idea stretches to beyond just between the sticks. Liverpool’s Giovanni Leoni is being closely monitored, even if the Reds plan to use him often once he is fit after the international break. Despite that, a enquiry for the 19-year-old was made but for now, the move is only in a monitoring stage.
Another name of interest is Brentford’s Michael Kayode, who has impressed with Italy, starting two games. He has grown significantly in England and was once on Juve’s books as a youngster.
The priority though, lies in midfield. This is leading to them being interested in Fiorentina’s Cher Ndour, who has also been in and around the Azzurri setup. The La Viola star has risen in stature over the last 12 months and is slowly become a real star for Fiorentina. He is attracting attention and could be a future target.
