Juventus reignite interest in Strasbourg’s Diego Moreira | OneFootball

Diego Moreira (21) has enjoyed a strong start to the season at RC Strasbourg Alsace, netting one goal and registering three assists in 11 appearances in all competitions. The former Chelsea man has enjoyed a renaissance since making the move to Ligue 1, and there were opportunities for the Belgium youth international to leave in the summer. 

Moreira is particularly coveted in Italy, and Sacha Tavolieri understands that Juventus, who have previously shown an interest in the winger, could return to the negotiating table next summer. An approach in January is not expected, but they may make their move following next summer’s World Cup.

It remains to be seen what Strasbourg’s stance will be on a departure. Due to their BlueCo owners, they can stave off advances on their players, especially if it is a player who is perceived to have the potential to one day play for Chelsea. Moreira, of course, has already been a Chelsea player before permanently joining Le Racing, but recent reports have linked him with a return to Stamford Bridge.
