According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus are in talks with Olympique Lyonnais to sign Argentina international Nicolas Tagliafico, but any move depends on Juan Cabal agreeing to join Atalanta.

The Bianconeri want added experience in defence and Cabal has not featured in Luciano Spalletti’s plans throughout the summer.

Tagliafico, who turns 34 today, can operate at left-back, further forward or in central defence.

He is in the final year of his contract in France, which should ease negotiations.

Atalanta are discussing a deal for the Colombian, though he has already rejected several loan proposals this summer, complicating Juventus’ plans.

Bologna and Besiktas have shown interest in Cabal, but the 25-year-old resisted moves after joining Juventus from Hellas Verona in 2024 for €12.8m.
