Having spent the last 10 years at TSG Hoffenheim, Pavel Kaderabek is leaving the club this summer.
Hoffenheim announced on Tuesday that the Czech right-back’s contract, which expires at the end of June, will not be renewed.
“Pavel is an exceptional personality, and we all know how much he has contributed to TSG Hoffenheim,” said Hoffenheim managing director for sport Andreas Schicker.
“He defined an era here in Hoffenheim, left his mark on the pitch, and earned legendary status among our fans thanks to his open and warm character. That’s not something to take for granted and shows just how highly regarded Pavel is within the club and throughout the entire Kraichgau region."
Kaderabek paid an emotional farewell, stating that he would have liked to keep playing for the club.
“After an incredible ten years, my journey here at TSG is coming to an end - and that’s honestly very emotional for me. I really would have loved to continue playing for Hoffenheim, but the club has unfortunately decided to take a different direction in my position.
"I’ve absolutely loved my time here, and this club will forever have a place in my heart. The home games, the fans - I’ll never forget any of it. It’s something very special to me.
“But I’ll definitely be back to say goodbye properly. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all at the stadium again. And it won’t be the last time I return - because I will always be a fan of this club.”
Kaderabek played 287 games for Hoffenheim, scoring 19 goals and providing 35 assists.
