According to Le Progres, Yacine Mimouni, better known online as Kafudlanight, died suddenly last weekend aged 32. The Givors-born comedian and influencer was a familiar face among Olympique Lyonnais supporters.

His family announced his death without giving a cause. The news prompted an outpouring of tributes across social media.

He often performed at the Groupama Stadium or on social channels, wearing a trademark bathrobe or an OL shirt, sunglasses fixed in place. The persona was entirely in club colours.

Mimouni built a sizeable profile by spoofing the style and energy of Marseille videographer Mohamed Henni, noted for forthright views and punchlines. The parody made him a recognisable figure beyond Lyon.

At the time of his death, he had nearly 130,000 followers on TikTok and more than 19,000 on Instagram. Fans and many others expressed shock at the loss of someone so young and funny.

Regulars at the stadium recall a warm, considerate man who was much more than a lookalike. Locals said his character kept him close to people, and that he will be missed.

One supporter hopes a heartfelt tribute could be paid at the next home match at the Groupama Stadium. For many, matchdays included watching him in the stands then catching his post-match debriefs online. Now a community mourns a familiar presence, and some will still glance around for that bathrobe.
