Olympique Lyonnais have signed Kaïl Boudache from Nice on a five-year deal to 2031 after his contract ended. The winger turns 20 on Monday.

The club said in a statement that he is their first summer recruit and that the move fits a strategy focused on identifying high-potential young talents for the long term.

Boudache was given his Ligue 1 bow by Claude Puel in January without a professional contract, and he scored three goals in 19 matches for Nice.

Talks with Nice, the club he joined in 2022, over a first professional deal stalled then stopped. He subsequently reached a verbal agreement with Lyon.

This contract is the first professional deal of his career.
