Kaio César on his first days as a new Corinthians player

On the afternoon of last Thursday (29), forward Kaio César was announced as the newest signing for Corinthians on loan from Al-Hilal, Saudi Arabia. The player landed in São Paulo last Tuesday and, this Friday (30), had his first training session on the field with the squad led by coach Dorival Júnior.

In an interview with Corinthians TV, the winger detailed his first days at the club and highlighted the warm welcome he received from teammates and staff at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. He also spoke about his gradual adaptation on the field: “It was very good, after a long time I literally feel at home, because it’s a group that welcomed me, both the players and the coaching staff, all the club’s employees. So, I felt really good here, it was a place where I truly felt at home. The training sessions were very good, I was able to get a sense of what the team is like, who my teammates are, but of course, much of that will come during the matches, over time, as the season progresses, but I’m adapting well, I feel good with the group, so I think only good things are ahead for me,” he began.

Later, he was asked about the Supercopa do Brasil final next Sunday (1), against Flamengo, at Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasília, and responded about the possibility of being on the field for the national tournament final: “I’m very happy, very anxious, very excited, especially since it’s a final. I hope I can make my debut in this match, I really hope to debut with a title. So, I’m very happy, very excited and now I’m focused here because it’s going to be a great game. So you can count on me, I’m available to help the team.”

“The plan is for it to be a very good season, not just for me but for the whole group. It’s going to be a season with a lot of games, as you said. So the whole squad will be needed, all the players. And I’m here to help, I’m here to learn too, I’m here to keep improving. And God willing, it’s going to be a great season with lots of games, lots of goals, lots of experiences. I only hope for the best this season,” he said.

Kaio César came up through the youth ranks at Coritiba and had his first professional season in 2023, where he scored three goals in 36 matches. Later, he was loaned to Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal, scoring four goals and providing eight assists in 47 games. With standout performances, he ended up being sold to Al-Hilal in 2024.

For the Saudi club, he scored four goals and provided six assists in 37 matches. His contract with the club runs until December 2028. However, in the current 2025/2026 season, he lost his place and started in only six of 17 matches, with one goal and three assists. Kaio César arrives at Alvinegro to fill a much-needed role in the current squad: a pacey winger.
