Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich beat Union Saint-Gilloise 2-0 at the Allianz Arena, keeping second place in their Champions League group despite playing with 10 men.

Bayern started strongly, with Luis Díaz’s early effort blocked by goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen at Kane’s feet. Union had a chance before the 30th minute when Promise David headed straight at Manuel Neuer.

The breakthrough came in the 52nd minute when Kane headed home Michael Olise’s corner. Three minutes later, Kane won and converted a penalty to double Bayern’s lead.

The win marks Bayern’s 250th Champions League victory and leaves them second in the group with 18 points, three behind Arsenal and five ahead of Barcelona. Union Saint-Gilloise remain 31st with six points, two outside the top 24 play-off positions, with one group game left against Atalanta.
