Kane sends a clear message: “Never bigger than the team” | OneFootball

Harry Kane has started this season at a very high level once again. The Bayern star scored another two goals in the league on Friday and is hoping to win the Ballon d’Or. 

He is among the top contenders for this individual award, alongside players like Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, and Lamine Yamal. Many experts have already shared their opinions, and quite a few see Kane in a strong position.

The striker himself, meanwhile, has always sought to remain humble and avoid drawing too much attention to himself. He continues to stay grounded, focusing on the things he can control.

Kane: “I’ve always worked hard”

In an interview with the French broadcaster Telefoot, Kane once again made exactly that clear. And he explained precisely what kind of professional he wants to be remembered as.

Kane said: “I want to be remembered as someone who puts the team above everything else and respects his teammates. You’re never bigger than your team, club, or country. I’ve always worked hard, quietly and without bragging. Despite the ups and downs, I’ve always believed in myself and worked twice as hard. I just want to keep doing that for as long as possible.”

Speaking about his last season, which paved the way for his promising chances at the Ballon d’Or, Kane said: “Last season will always hold a special place in my heart. Scoring so many goals—important goals for Bayern and England—and it was the season in which I won the most trophies of my career.”

It won’t be clear until late October who will ultimately win this year’s Ballon d’Or. Until then, we’ll just have to wait and see. Kane will now join the English national team in their quest to secure strong results in their four Nations League matches.
