Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth both received the love of the St. James' Park faithful for the final time on Sunday as they prepare to bid farewell to Tyneside this summer.

The defensive duo are both out of contract at the end of the season and have decided to move on as they reach the business end of their respective playing careers.

Trippier was given a guard of honour by his team-mates before the win over West Ham United, with Wor Flags delivering an East Stand tribute to the 35-year-old with displays that read 'TRIPPS' and 'Forever a Newcastle United Legend. Thank you for the memories'.

Trippier was named as a starter in the 3-1 victory, receiving a standing ovation as he exited the St. James' Park turf for the final time in the 84th-minute.

Meanwhile, Krafth was not part of the penultimate matchday squad but was invited onto the pitch at half-time to receive a framed photograph of himself lifting the Carabao Cup in 2025, signed by his fellow cup heroes.

The Swede and his family were handed the gift by Newcastle United CEO, David Hopkinson, who thanked 'Krafu' for his efforts during his seven-year spell at the football club.

Speaking to supporters inside the stadium during the interval, Krafth proudly admitted: "Once a Geordie, always a Geordie."

Both players were then involved in the traditional post-match lap of honour as the home campaign came to an end.
