Newcastle United are reportedly keen on bringing New York Red Bulls forward Julian Hall to the St James’ Park club.

Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle wants the Magpies to make more quality signings, and the 18-year-old has emerged as a target.

However, the Toons will face competition from the likes of RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid and Hull City for the services of the teenage sensation.

Hall has nine goals and four assists in his last 19 starts for the Major League Soccer club and Newcastle admire his huge potential.

A move to the Premier League could appeal to the American, who was named in the MLS All-Star last month, and the Magpies will hope to pip fierce competition to his services.

The Toons have lost key players this summer and are desperate to make quality additions before the summer transfer deadline.

They have spent £174 million so far this summer on the signings of Bazoumana Toure, Aladji Bamba, Amar Dedic, Lukas Hornicek, Sean Steur and Ewen Jaouen.

The fans still want more, with Guinea international midfielder Ousmane Diabate closing in on a move from Genclerbirligi.

A deal for Hall could be next and it will be intriguing to see whether they will make a concrete move for the American teenager.
