King Power have put Leicester City on the market after 16 years, with an initial price of about $300m, £222m, for the club’s full asset portfolio. Market analysts anticipate any deal could land closer to £148m.
According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, a sales brochure titled 'Project Lineup' has been produced by Citigroup to approach prospective buyers and investors.
The pitch sets out a property portfolio valued at £204m in 2025, including the King Power Stadium at £74m, the Seagrave training centre at £121m and Belvoir Drive at £9m.
It also covers the academy, land for stadium expansion and Leicester City Women, and includes sister club OH Leuven.
The document leans on on-field success during King Power’s tenure, after buying the club for £35m in 2010, noting Leicester are among five clubs to have won all three major English domestic trophies since 2000, including the Premier League title.
It presents Leicester as a single-city club with deep community roots and a broad fanbase, promoting a track record of promotions and describing the club as the most successful team in EFL history.
The finances are more strained, with consecutive losses since 2021 of £92.5m, £89.7m, £19.4m and £71.1m.
Extra land around the stadium is pitched as growth capacity for new owners, who could be drawn by the combined real estate and football opportunity.
