According to Sky Germany, Jürgen Klopp is seriously considering naming a significantly expanded Germany squad for the four upcoming Nations League games. The group could be split, with each half featuring in two matches.
The plan is to use the two weeks together to assess as many players as possible. The final squad size has not been set, and it is undecided whether players would be swapped after the second fixture.
Under the regulations, Klopp may assemble as many players as he wishes, but must submit a 23-man list before each game. Three of those places must be allocated to goalkeepers.
The squad will be announced on Thursday, 17 September.
The report also outlines an extended pool from which he could select, spanning goalkeepers, full-backs, centre-backs, midfielders, attacking midfielders and wingers, plus strikers.
