Köln are holding firm over Said El Mala, and any delay this window is likely to push the price up.
Sky Germany understands that Köln want at least a €50m base fee, with further bonuses on top.
The Express reports that Borussia Dortmund’s third offer is expected to be €48m plus €2m in bonuses for the 19-year-old, considered easily achievable.
Their previous proposal, just under €40m and rising to around €45m with add-ons, was not entertained.
El Mala and his family remain intent on joining Dortmund and have communicated that wish to Köln’s hierarchy, but the club remain adamant a transfer only happens if their valuation is met.
