Sky Germany understands that 1.FC Koln is still demanding a base fee of at least €50million plus further bonuses for Said El Mala.

Despite Köln's valuation and two previously failed attempts, Borussia Dortmund still wants to improve their offer.

Their last bid, which came in at just under €40million rising to around €45million including bonuses, fell on deaf ears.

El Mala and his family are still fully intent on joining Dortmund and have subsequently lodged this wish to Köln's bosses.

However, the Cathedral City club is standing firm – a transfer will only take place provided they receive their desired fee.

Furthermore, the later a deal comes together in this transfer window, the more expensive it will become for the Westphalian giants.

Some more positive news for Köln according to the pay-TV channel – Mikey Moore is not considered a direct El-Mala replacement
