Atalanta have officially signed Thomas Kristensen from Udinese on an initial loan with an option to buy that can become an obligation, in a package worth up to €25m including add-ons.
The defender arrived in Bergamo last night and completed his medical today before signing.
The option converts to an obligation if easily met conditions are triggered. The fee is expected to be around €22m plus a further €3m in add-ons, and Udinese retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause.
Kristensen moved to Serie A in 2023 from Aarhus for around €5m.
The Denmark international, now 24, made 81 appearances for Udinese, scoring four times and supplying one assist.
He joins as the replacement for Berat Djimsiti, who has ended his decade in Bergamo for a new chapter with Al-Diriyah.
