According to a report by AS, after consulting doctors in Madrid Kylian Mbappé (25) appears to have avoided the need for surgery on his broken nose, although the Spanish outlet warns that there will be thorough follow-ups and check-ups on the situation.

It appears that the early diagnostics were correct and that the injury would heal after around four weeks with the Real Madrid star breaking his nose on the 17th of June in France’s opening game at EURO 2024. The Real Madrid doctors had been in constant communication with the French medical staff as they awaited updates on the status of their new signing.

Real Madrid now believe that the France captain will be able to join his new team on the 8th of August after the club return from their preseason tour of the United States. AS reports that Mbappé’s fitness is no longer the concern but with a busy calendar ahead of the club and his commitments to the France national team they believe it would be reckless to overuse the player before the campaign even begins.
