Umar Sadiq remains firmly in Real Sociedad's plans for the upcoming season. The club's management has made it clear that the Spanish side is not considering any departures, despite reported interest from several teams in the Nigerian striker.

Loaned to Valencia last January, the Nigerian forward regained valuable playing time and delivered a string of impressive performances under Carlos Corberán's guidance. Umar Sadiq featured in 16 La Liga matches, netting 5 goals. While rumors suggested a permanent move to Valencia, the 28-year-old returned to Real Sociedad this summer and has already started pre-season training with the squad at the Anoeta Stadium.

Recently asked about Umar Sadiq, Basque club president Jokin Aperribay expressed his satisfaction with the level the player has shown since his temporary departure.

"There has been a complete turnaround regarding Sadiq. The information I've received indicates that he has been training very well, just like the rest of the group that stayed at Zubieta. We have been in daily contact with Erik Bretos about the progress in training and Sadiq is doing very well. We’ll see what happens, but I do not rule out the possibility that he remains with us this season. I think that's clear," Aperribay told Noticias de Gipuzkoa in an interview.
