Enes Alić bent in a stoppage time free-kick in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time to secure St Johnstone a 1-1 draw with Falkirk.

St Johnstone lost Cheick Diabaté to a second yellow and dismissal in the 53rd minute. Alić responded by taking on set-piece responsibility and wider attacking duty as the hosts reshaped with ten men.

Soon after, his whipped dead-ball delivery picked out Zach Mitchell, whose header slid just wide (57.). The left-back then went himself from distance, forcing Scott Bain to tip away a low strike (69.).

Alić's numbers underlined his influence: two shots on target, three tackles and 11 recoveries, plus four clearances and three interceptions as he balanced threat with discipline down the flank.

The result nudges St Johnstone up from seventh to sixth in the Scottish Premiership. St Johnstone visit Aberdeen next, while the Bairns host Dundee.
