Ouest France reports that Laurent Abergel’s home was burgled while he was on the pitch against Angers on Sunday. The incident occurred during the match at Le Moustoir.
Lorient beat Angers 2-0 at home in the 22nd round of Ligue 1. It was a strong response to last week’s 0-2 defeat at Brest.
Despite a difficult start, Lorient are ninth and only three points off Europe. Their momentum has improved under Olivier Pantaloni.
The value of items taken has not been established. At least three individuals were reportedly seen leaving the player’s property.
An investigation under flagrancy procedures has been opened and assigned to the Lorient gendarmerie for burglary following a break-in.
