Lazio weren’t only able to strengthen their squad compared to last season, but also boosted their finances thanks to some shrewd operations.

Lazio’s Transfer Business in the Summer of 2026

The Biancocelesti parted ways with their stalwarts at the back, namely Alessio Romagnoli, Mario Gila, and Ivan Provedel, but replaced the departing defenders with Danilho Doekhi and Josip Sutalo, while also adding Alfonso Pedraza to the left flank.

The club also offloaded unconvincing strikers Boulaye Dia and Petar Ratkov and recruited Andrea Pinamonti and Albert Gudmundsson, but Davide Frattesi’s arrival was considered the cherry on top of a positive summer transfer campaign, considering the complicated circumstances and the net-zero restriction.

Transfer Fees Spent: €3 Million

While Pedraza and Doekhi arrived on free transfers, Frattesi, Sutalo, and Gudmundsson signed on loan with an option to buy. Therefore, Pinamonti was the only one who commanded a transfer fee, and yet the Biancocelesti found a clever formula to lower the cost, setting a modest fixed fee at €3 million, plus bonuses that could raise the cost to circa €12 million.
