Lazio set Arezzo friendly, ‘to face’ Juve Stabia in international break | OneFootball

Lazio will use the international break to keep their edge, arranging two friendlies against Serie B opposition. They host Arezzo first, with Juve Stabia expected to follow the next weekend.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Sunday’s Arezzo game at the Formello Training Centre will be played behind closed doors, kicking off at 15:00 CET and streamed on the club’s official YouTube channel.

An official announcement on the Juve Stabia match is still pending, and the meeting is anticipated for the following weekend, on October three or four.

Gennaro Gattuso’s side have started Serie A strongly, winning four of their first five. They failed to beat AC Milan after leading 2-0 at half-time and drawing 2-2. They are third, level on points with Roma and champions Inter, who have a superior goal difference.

Lazio resume Serie A on October 11 at home to Monza. Gattuso will be without eight internationals for the friendlies, hopes to have Danilo Cataldi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Adam Marusic back, and is awaiting Nicolo Rovella’s MRI to set a return date.
