Lazio and Bournemouth are said to be close to a full agreement for Christos Mandas, with the structure defined, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper is on the transfer list after Maurizio Sarri restored Ivan Provedel as first choice. Juventus, Genoa and Torino showed interest but did not follow up with bids, while Bournemouth stepped forward.

The proposal on the table is a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy for €20 million. The clubs, who recently competed for Alex Toth’s signature with the English side prevailing, are now working to finalise the move.

Lazio are understood to be open to this formula. Tempted by the figures, Claudio Lotio and Angelo Fabiani could drop their initial demand for an obligation to buy clause.

A permanent sale would deliver a notable capital gain for the Aquile, who signed the Greek international for just over one million euros in summer 2023. Mandas is under contract until June 2029, so Lazio would still have time to seek a fee if Bournemouth decline to keep him beyond this campaign.
