Lazio ‘to sign’ Sutalo on loan with option to buy | OneFootball

Lazio are close to signing Ajax centre-back Josip Sutalo on loan with an option to buy, with differing figures reported.

Sportitalia reports it would be a paid loan of two and a half million euros, with an eight to nine million option at season’s end.

Sky Sport Italia, however, says the loan fee is three million euros and the option would become an obligation if certain conditions are met.

Sutalo, 26, joined Ajax from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2023 for €20.5m. Despite recurring injuries, he has made 108 competitive appearances across two years in Amsterdam.

It is believed he has agreed a four-year contract at the Stadio Olimpico. He is also understood to have turned down richer Saudi Pro League offers to remain in European football.

The Croatia international featured at the 2026 World Cup.
