Le Bris on Sunderland forward’s future at the club after impressive display against Hull

Régis Le Bris says Sunderland now have “clarity” over Chemsdine Talbi’s future after the winger scored the winner in their 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over Hull City.

Talbi’s future at the Stadium of Light was the subject of speculation during the summer transfer window following an impressive campaign last season.

But the 21-year-old remained with Sunderland and underlined his importance to Le Bris by scoring the decisive goal against Hull.

“Yeah, I’m pleased,” Le Bris said. “I repeat, in the transfer window, anything can happen.

“I think he had a good season last year but you can take a few steps and think about your future, it’s possible.

“Now we have clarity, from his side, from our side, and we’re looking forward.”

Le Bris also confirmed after the game that Romaine Mundle is set for several months out with a knee injury.
