Le Havre host Brest in Ligue 1 on Saturday, 5 September 2026 at Stade Océane, with the visitors aiming to extend an unbeaten start while the hosts chase a first league win to climb away from the early season drop zone.
Brest have dominated the recent head to head, winning five of the last six Ligue 1 meetings. Le Havre did, however, edge the most recent league game here 1-0 in October 2025.
Le Havre opened with a 0-1 home defeat by Monaco before drawing 1-1 at Lyon. Brest drew both outings 2-2, away at Le Mans and at home to Toulouse, scoring four and conceding four.
Abdoulaye Toure, Felix Khonde Mambimbi, Paul Argney and Stephan Zagadou are sidelined for Le Havre. Brest list Brendan Chardonnet, Romain Cagnon, Mamady Diambou and Justin Bourgault as injured.
Brest have attempted 41 shots and delivered 45 open play crosses at 26.67% accuracy, with all four goals coming inside the box. Kamory Doumbia leads their early scoring with two. Le Havre have produced 18 attempts and one goal, but their crossing volume (36 at 22.22% accuracy) and a headed goal point to an aerial route through Mbwana Samatta, while the visitors' defence have yet to keep a clean sheet.
A home win would move Le Havre to four points and could ease them away from the bottom places. Victory for Brest would take them to five points and may nudge them towards the top half before hosting Paris Saint-Germain next.
