Le Mans have pressed ahead in the transfer market, securing three signings despite a limited budget, as the promoted club plan to bed into Ligue 1.
As reported by L'Équipe, they are working to a clear roadmap and will need ingenuity to settle at this level. Le Mans beat Versailles 3-1 in a friendly on Wednesday, with Billal Brahimi among the recruits.
After two promotions in two years, this summer is about getting up to Ligue 1 speed.
The Sarthe side were bought by Brazilian investment fund Outfield, prompting the departure of president Thierry Gomez and a restructuring of the sporting department.
Bruno Cheyrou has joined as football adviser. Alexandre Jeannin has arrived to support Sébastien Sirot in recruitment, under sporting coordinator Olivier Thomas, who was promoted in early July.
