Le Mans will be without goalkeeper Nicolas Kocik at Nice on Saturday after an ankle sprain, though his condition remains reassuring.

According to L'Équipe, coach Patrick Videira said on Friday that Kocik will miss the 20:45 kick-off. A return is hoped for on 13 September at home to Lens at 17:15, or on 19 September against Lorient at 20:45 at Stade Marie-Marvingt.

Kocik grimaced as he left Roazhon Park 10 minutes from time after a heavy collision with Arnaud Nordin on 76 minutes. He was replaced by Ewan Hatfout on 81 in the 2-3 defeat to Rennes.

Samuel Yohou, set to be the club’s regular captain this season, is yet to make his Ligue 1 bow due to a muscular issue. He trained normally late in the week and could get his first minutes away to Nice, depending on how he feels in the final hours.

Habib Diallo is fit and should be in the matchday group, although a start is unlikely while he continues to acclimatise in Sarthe. Djibril Sidibé, sent off after 43 seconds on the pitch against Rennes, is suspended and will not be selected.
