According to Nice-Matin, three forwards are shortlisted for September’s UNFP Ligue 1 Player of the Month, the first award of the season: Paris Brunner (AS Monaco), Ferran Torres (Paris SG) and Lassine Sinayoko (Paris FC).
Brunner, a Germany youth international, scored two goals in three league matches in that spell, backing up promising displays in pre-season and August.
He stood out in the 1-2 win at PSG on matchday three without scoring. He then struck a long-range effort in a 1-1 draw at Strasbourg on matchday four, before finishing with a low cross-shot as Monaco beat Lens 2-1 on matchday five.
Torres delivered PSG’s victory at Brest, then came off the bench to score in the Classique at the Vélodrome. Sinayoko hit a hat-trick away to OM for Paris FC.
