Leeds United host rock-bottom Wolves at Elland Road on Saturday, days after a historic 2-1 win at Manchester United sealed by Noah Okafor’s first-half brace.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, that result eased pre-match worries after several doubts featured at Old Trafford, though Farke still has absentees. Wolves were beaten 4-0 at West Ham and took a fresh blow, with relegation edging closer. Leeds remain a few positive results from securing Premier League status.
For Wolves, goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is out with a shoulder injury sustained during the international break, having missed the 4-0 defeat at West Ham. Head coach Rob Edwards said his season could be over. Centre-back Yerson Mosquera serves a two-game ban after his 10th Premier League booking at West Ham, and Matt Doherty, who missed with a niggle, was expected to be available at Elland Road.
Leeds midfielder Anton Stach suffered ankle ligament damage against West Ham in the FA Cup after a heavy challenge from Max Kilman. Farke said it is unlikely he plays again this month, with a May return expected.
Joe Rodon also sustained an ankle injury at West Ham and is expected to be sidelined until early May, though Farke did not rule out an earlier return. Daniel James remains a doubt after an adductor strain before that FA Cup tie. The initial timeline was around two weeks, so Saturday marks a fortnight, but his fitness is unclear.
