Leeds confirm Wilfried Gnonto loan move to Fiorentina | OneFootball

Wilfried Gnonto has completed a season-long loan move from Leeds United to Serie A side Fiorentina, with the deal including an option to buy.

The 22-year-old Italy international could leave Leeds permanently if Fiorentina activate the clause, with the overall package potentially reaching €21 million (£18m) when the loan fee, transfer fee and add-ons are included.

Gnonto joined Leeds from FC Zurich in August 2022 and has made almost 150 appearances for the club. He played an important role in their promotion-winning 2024/25 campaign, scoring nine goals and providing six assists as Leeds lifted the Championship title.

Last season, the forward made 29 appearances in all competitions, helping the Whites avoid relegation from the Premier League while also reaching the FA Cup semi-finals.

Gnonto now returns to his native Italy, having left the country in 2020, and joins a Fiorentina side managed by Fabio Grosso.
