Leeds United are eyeing a £73 million triple addition after positive updates on multiple fronts, as Daniel Farke seeks to accelerate business. According to Leeds Live, encouragement has arrived on targets in midfield and defence while talks continue.
Leeds have yet to pay a fee this summer, with Harry Wilson the only arrival so far on a free. Gaps remain after Pascal Struijk’s move to Brighton, particularly at centre-back following a 14th-place Premier League finish.
Southampton midfielder Shea Charles is a leading option, with negotiations ongoing and a gap in valuation. Reports indicate the Saints want £30m, while Leeds are closer to £23m. The 22-year-old is said to favour Elland Road despite interest from Aston Villa, Fulham and Crystal Palace.
Sassuolo’s Tarik Muharemovic is valued at around £34m, just shy of the club-record £35.5m paid for Georginio Rutter in 2022. After impressing for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup this summer, he is viewed as a left-sided centre-back who could fit, and talks have reportedly progressed well. With his tournament over, Leeds can look to accelerate discussions.
Nico Elvedi, fresh from Switzerland’s quarter-final defeat to Argentina on Saturday, is another avenue. The 29-year-old, who is right-footed with less than a year left on his Borussia Monchengladbach contract, could be available for as little as £9m, according to the Daily Mail. He has been linked with Farke’s side since early 2025, is open to the move and one early offer is said to have been turned down.
