According to Leeds Live, Lucas Perri is due in Italy today for a medical before joining Torino on an initial €1m (£855,000) loan, with a €14m (£12m) option to buy.

The Brazilian has agreed to move to the Serie A side, with an announcement anticipated in the coming days. Olympique de Marseille attempted to hijack the deal but failed and have turned to other goalkeeping targets.

Perri made 20 appearances last season, yet his future became uncertain when James Trafford arrived from Manchester City earlier this summer. The 28-year-old is now edging towards the switch following his medical.

He joined Leeds only last summer from Lyon for £15.6m, began as first choice, then lost his place to Karl Darlow in January.

Leeds ended pre-season with a 4-0 win over Bundesliga side FC Augsburg at Elland Road on Saturday. Speaking before that game, Daniel Farke said he had pursued Trafford for months and sees his arrival as a major step up. He added that Harry Wilson has come in on a free after outstanding numbers last season, while some obvious positions still need work, which he declined to specify as he hopes to add more before the window closes.
