Lucas Perri’s departure from Leeds United faces late jeopardy, with Marseille said to be exploring a move as the goalkeeper is scheduled for a Torino medical.

La Stampa reports that the Brazilian, 28, plans to take his time over his future despite Leeds agreeing a deal with the Serie A side. Torino are said to remain confident of completing a loan after Perri was given the green light to leave Elland Road.

The medical in Turin was slated for today, although it is not yet clear if it has taken place. Marseille are lining up an approach as they look to replace Geronimo Rulli, who has joined Manchester City.

The French club are understood to have made an enquiry yesterday, and Perri has not yet signed with Torino.

Leeds are expected to recruit a replacement for Perri, whose exit was already delayed by a pre-season injury.
