Leeds sign Harry Wilson as Premier League deals mount, Ipswich Town set £24m record | OneFootball

Leeds United have made their first signing of the summer, landing Harry Wilson after his Fulham exit, as Premier League clubs continue to trade.

Ipswich Town, new rivals for United, have also signed a young Brazilian forward in a club-record £24m deal.

As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Arsenal have taken Illan Meslier on a free and made Piero Hincapie’s loan permanent for £25m. Jakub Kiwior has joined Porto and Karl Hein moved to Werder Bremen. Aston Villa have a pre-contract for Modou Keba Cisse, with Sil Swinkels and Louie Barry to Sheffield Wednesday.

Bournemouth have no signings, with Marco Rose appointed head coach. Exits include Marcos Senesi to Tottenham, Luis Sinisterra to Cruizeiro, Romain Faivre to Auxerre and Hamed Traore to Marseille. Andoni Iraola has left and is now Liverpool’s head coach.

Brentford have added Jannik Schuster from Red Bull Salzburg for £17.2m, Jaidon Anthony from Burnley for £17m and free agent Callum Wilson. Outgoings include Frank Onyeka to Coventry City and Michael Olakigbe on loan to WSG Tirol.

Brighton have signed Pascal Struijk from Leeds for £18m, Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm for £21.5m and Costinha from Olympiacos for £11m. Jan Paul van Hecke has joined Tottenham for £52m and James Milner has retired.

Chelsea have brought in Marco Palestra from Atalanta for £43m and Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon for £40m, and appointed Xabi Alonso as head coach. Marc Cucurella has moved to Real Madrid for £51.8m and Jimmy-Jay Morgan to West Brom for four million pounds.
