Leeds United have confirmed goalkeeper Illan Meslier will leave this summer when his contract expires, the club said in a statement.
The Whites are due to publish their retained list by noon on Wednesday, in line with other Premier League sides yet to do so.
Meslier arrived on loan from FC Lorient in 2019 and, drafted into the side late that season during Kiko Casilla’s racism ban, helped Marcelo Bielsa’s men win the Championship.
He kept the gloves for most of Leeds’ three seasons in the top flight until Sam Allardyce replaced him for the final games of a failed survival push. Under Daniel Farke he was number one for almost two full seasons before Karl Darlow was preferred for the promotion run-in, ending Meslier’s first team involvement.
Last season the goalkeeping duties were shared by new signing Lucas Perri and Darlow. Meslier was part of the promotion-winning squads in 2019/20 and 2024/25 and departs a two-time champion.
He leaves having made 215 appearances for Leeds, keeping 72 clean sheets.
