Leeds United have denied offering Joel Piroe to Sheffield United in a swap deal to land Gus Hamer, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Whites have been interested in signing the Sheffield United midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.
The Blades recently rejected an offer of £13m from Leeds as they do not want to sell him to one of their promotion rivals in the Championship.
There are claims that Leeds have tabled a new bid of £10m and have offered Piroe to Sheffield United as part of the deal.
However, it has been claimed that Leeds have denied making any such offer for Hamer this summer.
Piroe is still considered a key player at Leeds and Daniel Farke does not want to lose any more important personnel.
Leeds rubbished the claims and are insistent that no such swap offers were put forward to Sheffield United.
It remains to be seen if Leeds go back for Hamer before the transfer window closes and test Sheffield United with a new bid.
