Leeds United are exploring a late move for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya, according to transfer reporter Ben Jacobs.

The 21-year-old has emerged as a target for the Leeds hierarchy following an unpredictable few days in the transfer market. Bahoya recently turned down a move to Hull City.

The Premier League newcomers had reached an agreement with Frankfurt for the winger, who rejected the proposed switch to the MKM Stadium, keeping his options open late in the window.

Sunderland have also monitored Bahoya’s situation as they consider alternative wide options.

Leeds have now stepped up internal discussions to assess whether they can complete a deal before the deadline, viewing the French winger as an ideal option to add attacking firepower.

Bahoya came through the Angers youth system in France before moving to Germany, where he has built a reputation as one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young wide players.

Bahoya can play in multiple attacking positions, but is most effective on the left, cutting inside onto his stronger foot.

Leeds’ renewed interest follows their failure to land Mykhailo Mudryk, who is set to join Tottenham Hotspur.

With five signings already secured, the Whites have been active in the market as they look to consolidate their Premier League status.

Farke’s side have started the 2026/27 campaign brightly, picking up four points from two league matches and progressing to the EFL Cup third round.

Leeds travel to the AMEX Stadium on Saturday to face Brighton & Hove Albion, after which a cup tie against Chelsea awaits.
