Largie Ramazani has joined Burnley on a season-long loan that becomes permanent if he hits an achievable appearance threshold, Leeds Live reports. The fee is understood to be £6.5m, rising to £8.5m with add-ons.

The trigger is not dependent on Burnley winning promotion. The 25-year-old returns to the Championship after weighing options back in Leeds.

Leeds signed Ramazani from Almeria in 2024 for £10m on a four-year deal. He spent last season at Valencia, playing 31 times, with 14 starts, six goals and two assists.

He made 29 appearances in Leeds’ 2024/25 promotion campaign plus two cup ties. He started only seven league matches, with his last league start in December 2024. Across 31 Leeds games he recorded seven goals and two assists.

He was omitted from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, and Daniel Farke later confirmed he was not in his plans.

Wilfried Gnonto’s situation remains unresolved. A loan to Fiorentina will proceed only if a replacement is signed, with seven and a half hours left to recruit a left winger. A move for Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk appears to have faltered, with Tottenham Hotspur braced to take him on loan.

If no winger arrives, Gnonto, pictured in Fiorentina colours during medical checks last night, will return to Leeds. The chances of that happening lessen by the hour.
