Leeds United Foundation Abseil raises over £15,000 | OneFootball

On the 20th June 2026, 64 brave fundraisers stepped over the edge of the iconic Elland Road stadium to experience breathtaking views and the thrill of abseiling down the home of Leeds United. Together, they raised an incredible £15,614.08 to support the club's official charity and its life-changing work across the region.

Working together with Burflex and Big Bang Experiences, willing participants had the opportunity to purchase entry outright for £100, or pay a £25 registration fee and raise a minimum of £100 with the charity's fundraising team on hand to help supporters gather sponsorship.

The club’s official charity aims to use the power of football and Leeds United to enhance the lives of people across the region and beyond through initiatives and programmes focused on education, sport and healthier lifestyles.

There were also prizes for the top two fundraisers; the highest fundraiser received a squad-signed Leeds United shirt for their incredible effort raising £1,879.69, while the runner-up won a pair of tickets to a home game next season.

Events like this highlight the incredible power of football to bring people together and make a difference. Every abseiler, sponsor, and supporter played a part in helping the Leeds United Foundation continue its mission to enhance lives across Yorkshire and beyond.
