Leeds United signed off their 2025/26 Elland Road campaign with a 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, two of Daniel Farke’s players made Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison’s Premier League Team of the Week.

Leeds looked set for a point until the 95th minute, when Dominic Calvert-Lewin capitalised on Jan Paul van Hecke’s short backpass, rounded Bart Verbruggen and finished.

The clean sheet was Leeds’ eighth of the season and owed plenty to a disciplined display. Goalkeeper Karl Darlow made a series of important saves, with his defence throwing bodies in the way.

Morrison selected Darlow in goal and centre-back Jaka Bijol for their efforts against Brighton. The Slovenian defended the Leeds box with relentless commitment.

Elsewhere in Morrison’s XI, Kieran Trippier featured after his final home game for Newcastle in a 3-1 win over West Ham. Malick Thiaw was included for keeping West Ham at arm’s length.

Luke Shaw was picked after scoring an early opener as Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 3-2. Adam Wharton also made the cut with his first goal of the season in Crystal Palace’s 2-2 draw at Brentford.
