Leeds United shot-stopper Lucas Perri ‘will be in Turin on Thursday’ to undergo a medical and formalise his switch to Torino.
The Serie A outfit have been edging towards finalising a season-long loan deal for the Brazilian with the Whites since the end of last month.
However, the transfer was held up as Leeds needed to secure a new first-choice goalkeeper before sanctioning Perri’s departure.
The Whites eventually found their new man between the posts in James Trafford, who they brought from Manchester City for a club-record £40m fee plus bonuses.
Perri then suffered a minor finger injury and was forced into a period of recovery, placing another obstacle in the path of his transfer to Torino.

The deal has nonetheless continued to inch towards completion, and it now appears to be entering its final stretch.
According to Italian journalist Orazio Accomando, Perri will arrive in Turin ‘on Thursday’, where he will undergo his medical before completing the formalities of his Torino switch.
An official confirmation could then follow, with the Brazilian poised to embark on a fresh chapter in Serie A.
The 28-year-old turned down several other suitors in Italy in favour of Torino, having identified the Turin outfit as the destination best suited to the next stage of his career.

Leeds are likely to revisit the goalkeeper market, as Perri’s exit would leave Trafford and Alex Cairns as the only options between the posts at Elland Road.
Meanwhile, further departures from Yorkshire could take shape in the coming days, with Hamburg closing in on Sebastiaan Bornauw’s signature.
