Leeds United are holding out for clubs with ‘a higher financial capacity’ than Valencia to come into the mix to sign winger Largie Ramazani.

Ramazani had a largely successful loan spell at Valencia over the course of last season and the club are keen for him to return.

He is Valencia’s leading target for the flank and Los Che boss Carlos Corberan is hoping to have him back, while Ramazani also wants to return, with not even being burgled while playing for the club having put him off.

Leeds did not agree to an option to buy in Valencia’s initial loan, meaning a need to sit down and negotiate on the part of the Spaniards, something they kicked off by sending their CEO over to England for talks earlier this summer.

The needle though has not moved and, according to Spanish daily Sport, Leeds are waiting for a club with ‘a higher financial capacity’ than Valencia to move for Ramazani.

Leeds do expect to receive offers and are waiting for those to come in before deciding what to do with the winger.

Valencia believe that if a deal does happen then it is likely to occur later on in the window, when by that time Leeds will need to have softened their stance.

The Spanish giants are also more than aware that Ramazani wants to return to the Mestalla.

As such, on Valencia’s part there is no need to rush and they are happy to wait for matters to unfold, confident they can still bring the winger back.

Leeds are pressing ahead with other transfer business, having brought in Harry Wilson on a free transfer and just splashed €34m to sign defender Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo.

Muharemovic was wanted by a host of Premier League sides, but Leeds moved quickest and did a deal.
