Leganés confirm loan signing of Álvaro Morata from Como | OneFootball

LaLiga Hypermotion side Leganés have confirmed the loan signing of Spain striker Álvaro Morata from Como. The 33-year-old returns to Spanish football.

The Italian club said in a statement that the deal runs until the end of the season and includes an option.

Morata progressed through Atlético Madrid and Getafe before joining Real Madrid’s academy, making his senior breakthrough there. After a loan at Juventus and a return to Madrid, he moved to Chelsea, then Atlético Madrid and Juventus again.

More recently he played for Milan, Galatasaray in Türkiye and Como. He joined the Lombardy club in August 2025 from Milan and endured a campaign without league goals.

Como also marked his departure with well wishes for the 2026/27 season.

Negotiations accelerated in recent days as Leganés and Como came closer on how to share the Spain international’s salary.
