Petermann joined Leicester City from French club Montpellier HSC in summer 2023. The player netted five goals in 20 Barclays Women’s Super League outings in 2023/2024. Petermann has spent this season on the sidelines recovering from a long-term injury.

It has now been revealed that Petermann has played her last game for The Foxes with the player having lined-up a return to her native Germany with Werder Bremen.

After securing her move to the Weserstadion Platz 11, Petermann said “I’m really looking forward to my time at Werder Bremen. The development the women’s team has made in recent years is truly wonderful to see. It just feels right to be part of this journey now. At the same time, the move also marks a return to my hometown, which means a lot to me personally. I can’t wait to give my all on and off the pitch and to tackle new goals together with the team.”

Petermann is the first player to be leaving Leicester City this summer.
