Leicester City midfielder Pelgander joins HB Køge on loan | OneFootball

Leicester City midfielder Emilia Pelgander has joined Danish A-Liga club HB Køge on loan for the remainder of the season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes yesterday afternoon.

The 21-year-old Swedish youth international joined Leicester City from KIF Örebro DFF back in the January 2024 transfer window. Pelgander has gone on to make 17 appearances for The Foxes in all competitions.

Pelgander spent time back in her native Sweden on loan at FC Rosengård for a period last year. The player will now go out on loan for a second time with Pelgander joining Danish club HB Køge.

The midfielder is under contract with Leicester City until summer 2027. Pelgander has not featured for The Foxes in competitive football in the last year. It remains to be seen whether the player’s long-term future is in the East Midlands or if she leaves Leicester City on a permanent basis at some point in the not-so-distant future.

Leicester City continue their season without Pelgander when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur to contest an Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie on Sunday. The two sides met in the Barclays Women’s Super League last weekend with Spurs winning that game 1-0.
