Leicester City set six friendlies and Spain camp ahead of 2026/27 | OneFootball

Leicester City have locked in a six-match pre-season, including a warm-weather camp in Spain, finishing with Genoa on August 1.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Russell Martin's side start on July 11 against Northampton Town at the club's Seagrave training complex. They then visit Bristol Rovers on July 14 for a game of two 60-minute halves, before travelling to Burton Albion on July 18.

After Burton, the squad head to Spain for intensive work on the training pitch. While there, they face Spanish second-division side Cadiz on July 22 and newly-promoted La Liga team Malaga on July 25, both at Estadio Nuevo Mirador, home of third-tier Algeciras FC.

Preparations conclude with Serie A visitors Genoa at the King Power Stadium on August 1. The Italians are managed by former midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

The Genoa date falls exactly a week before a Carabao Cup first-round tie against Northampton Town. Leicester then open their League One campaign away to Notts County on August 14.
